Candle dipping demonstrations and instruction 2006 AG Day

2006 AG Day was held at Historic Sahuaro Ranch in Glendale, Arizona. We sprung the gates open at 9:00 a.m. and everyone had a great time until we had to close them up again at 4:00 p.m.  We had a great turnout and everyone had an incredible time. Thank you to everyone who had a chance to get out and join us for our 26th Annual Event!

We had all-day events including:

  • livestock displays
  • cotton baby make-n-take
  • farm equipment displays
  • candle dipping
  • an extensive Farmers' Market
  • blacksmith demonstrations
  • $1 pony rides from the hay barn
  • a milking barn
  • butter churning
  • hydroponics and produce displays
  • Peoria FFA plant sale
  • and hay rides throughout the park.
Everyone loved the chefs as they demonstrated preparation of some of their signature dishes
Attendees also had the opportunity to see:
  • tractor pulls
  • cooking demonstrations with Chef Matthew Contreras from the Lantana Grill at The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort
  • pie-eating contest
  • cooking demonstrations with Chef Chris Barber from the Hole in the Wall Restaurant at The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort
  • singer Dave Greer performing for an hour on our main stage
  • more tractor pulls
  • cooking demonstrations with Chef Andrew McDonald from The Pointe in Tyme at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort
  • and fiddlers on our main stage
Hayrides thrilled everyone as they rode all through the park past the demonstrations, displays, rose gardens, and groves.
