The Education Area for the 2009 AG Day event is really filling up fast. Here's what you can expect to see and enjoy at the March event:

• Master Gardener Booth
  • will provide answers to your gardening questions
• How to Grow a Pizza
  • will teach what it takes to make a pizza from growing the wheat, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions, to milking a cow for milk and cheese, and raising beef cattle and pigs for the pepperoni
• The Plant Bracelet
  • will teach what a plant needs to grow and why it needs it, then we get to make a bracelet out of beads to represent the seven things plants need: sun, water, air, soil/nutrients, the plant itself, and love
• Story Time Books About Agriculture
  • Various books will be read aloud under the shady trees
• Test Your AG Knowledge
  • Where does milk come from?
  • Guessing game - is it a fruit or a vegetable?
  • Guessing game - which one is a berry?
  • Who is a farmer?
  • What tools do farmers use?
• Cotton Babies
  • a delightful demonstration where children get to make their very own "cotton baby"
